Frequently asked questions

Where are you located?

The studio is based in Milan and Como, Italy. You’ll find directions and addresses in the contact area

What do we receive after the wedding?

You should expect about 800 photos of your wedding. You’ll get a CD Rom of the entire edit from your wedding the photographic album.

Do you offer albums?

Yes. We design and produce very high quality albums. You can find more information at the album selection.

How far in advance do we have to book you?

Generally Massimiliano and his team get booked 6 to 12 months before a wedding, some dates are reserved over a year in advance. However do not hesitate calling about an event that is just around the corner.

How do we reserve the date, can you hold it for us? What is your policy?

It is a strictly first-come, first-serve policy. Because of multiple inquiries for certain dates we found it was too difficult to notify couples when somebody else was interested in “their” date. From this year we have decided to make it our policy to not notify couples when someone else has inquired about their date. A deposit and signed contract will be required for us to hold the date.

Do you meet with us before the wedding?

Massimiliano is available to meet in person in his studios. Please call to arrange an appointment.

Do you travel, and how far?

We photograph weddings worldwide. North of Italy is our home area and local rates apply here and anywhere within a 2 hours driving distance. If your wedding requires for us to travel for several days special rates apply.

What are your rates?

Each wedding is unique, so please contact the studio to find a package for your needs and budget.

What is wedding photojournalism?

This is a style of photography which documents the wedding day in real time without any direction or interference from the photographer. Photojournalism offers clients a real life photographic record of their day, without having to spend hours in front of camera taking orders from the "official" photographer. Massimiliano is respected throughout the world for being a true wedding photojournalist.

Do you photograph any formal pictures?

Even though Massimiliano prefers to document the day, he realises that some formal pictures are required at most weddings. He can photograph some groups with family and friends, and a selection of bride and groom pictures. These should take no more some minutes to complete. Please remember that the more groups that you have, the less time you will be able to spend with your guests!

How many photographs do you employ?

There is a staff, Massimiliano can be the sole photographer or there may be occasion when Massimiliano requires an assistant or a second photographer. It depends of your needs and budget.

Will I be shooting film, or digital?

Depending on your wedding, Massimiliano will probably shoot mostly with high quality, professional Nikon digital equipment.

How many colour/black & white pictures do we get?

Massimiliano is known for his black and white work. But the percentage of colour images on the wedding album is wholly the client’s choice.

What can we expect to receive from your standard package?

For the standard full day package you can expect me to shoot candids of both the wedding ceremony and reception; which I define as basically the entire wedding day. This includes the bride (and groom) preparing themselves all the way to the bride and groom's departure -as well as guests, the first dance, cutting the cake, etc. I will also shoot portraits of the wedding party at a prearranged time (often immediately after the ceremony). The Album composed with 60 pictures (colours and black & White), and a CD Rom with all the photos in high definition version. It is possible, if you want, to packages with more pictures on the album.

How many pictures do we get for our wedding?

This varied considerably depending on the wedding day itself. Some weddings will contain more photographic opportunities than others. Normally, during the wedding day we take about 800 pictures. Your album can contain from 60 to 150 pictures.

Can guests order reprints after the wedding?

Yes, of course. Guests can order reprints from your album. If we use digital cameras, you will have all the photos in high definition version. And you can have your own reprints.

What happens if you are taken ill and can’t photograph our wedding?

In ten years Massimiliano has never missed a wedding. Massimiliano’s reputation is such that if the unthinkable did happen, we would be able to find another photographer to cover for him.
